Our mission roughly falls into two areas - to inform and to connect.
To inform people about rites of passage and related traditions, their
history, meaning, and how they are becoming more and more relevant and
useful in the context of modern society, and to connect guides,
practitioners and interested parties from around the world.
The essence of these type of practices is community, and this site aims
to be very much community driven throughout it various features. We hope
to have a continually updated information archive, never offering just one
point of view, and a lively discussion forum for conversation and debate, plus
links for further resources and reading. There will also be tools
available for private contact between members.
Equally important to providing information and debate is giving the
opportunity for direct contact with guides and practitioners around
the world, so what has been learnt can safely be put into practice.
To this end, we will be bringing online a range of tools, including
the facility for guides to maintain their own page on this site.
